A close race

Dear friends,

Thank you for all your votes. This contest has been consuming me. Between rallying votes and running my shop I've been pretty busy. Saturday is the last day of voting and Sunday is my first baby shower! What a relief. I've become so annoying bothering everyone every day but i have to try my best. If I win this round I qualify for the live style off where you get an hour to style an outfit. The person who wins gets a $1000.00 gift card to the mall and goes on to nationals. So there is a lot on the line.

Meet my friend Azu. If you don't know her, you should. Her and I became friends through Shana because we were both members of Shana's club, "Thrifters Anonymous." She has just started up another blog again so go show her some love. She has great vintage style and mixes vintage pieces with retail. She has also inherited some really cool pieces from her mama.

Azu is a smart woman and well informed. Love that this girl speaks her mind. I thought I had lost her forever when she stopped her old blog but then one day I got an email from her saying she was still reading my blog. Just a quick post to thank you all who have been voting for me for Project Style. I'm a bad campaigner so I appreciate all your help. I even got the end date of the competition wrong. I thought it was going to be the 20th but it's really the 30th! So 10 more days.

I don't have Facebook, but Lakota tells me you can log in with that. Otherwise you just sign up once with the site and then you can just log in every day. I have been so consumed with this competition I've almost killed my mom's flowers by not watering them. oops.

 

I wish you could have seen how hideous this dress was before I chopped 13 inches from the bottom. It was only a dollar so I didn't bother to hem it or anything. I liked the print. The lady at the post office liked it. That's all that matters.

OMG, Project Style, Vote for me, Please!

Oh my goodness. I have been chosen as a semi-finalist in round 2 of Project Style, a national style competition with the ultimate grand prize of a trip for 2 to New York fashion week. First, I have to win my round. I had to style a look with a gift card of $150.00 to my local mall, Victoria Gardens and also use one piece from my closet. Dressing a pregnant body is a challenge, but it was very fun. This is what I created:

 

floppy hat and cat print blouse- American Apparel

peplum skirt- Cotton On

shoes- my own, thrifted 

Pussy cat print blouse with a pussy bow? Hell to the yeah. 

 

Baby daddy wanted to know why my head was down, I told him it kept the focus on the clothes. GEEZ.

So now, I need your votes! Voting begins today and ends in 5 days. You can vote once a day. It is between me and another girl. She is not with child.

Jessica Simpson should have skipped the whole singing career thing and went straight to making shoes and clothing. Her shoes and clothes are killer. I hope she is the mastermind behind these designs, if not, whoever is, me likes you very much. 

 

I love the print of this Jessica Simpson swimwear cover up. I was so excited to wear it, I couldn't wait to go to my sister's pool, instead I headed to the creek in my backyard. Scenic it is, but hard to get around. I'm 7 months now and it's getting harder to bend down. My usual activities like climbing rocks in heels, now require assistance.
