Riverside Muthaf*cka

Cierra and I have decided that we are straight edge stoners. We sit in her room late at night, listening to music about weed, and we paint. We are stoners that don't smoke. My stoner like behavior has been brought even more to my attention lately by my tendency to make lists in notebooks, then leave the notebook in my car or somewhere I cant get to it as thoughts run in and out of my mind. The result is anxiety and more hours of wondering what I have to do then actually doing it. hijole. Xmas is a bunch of stress.

So, as we were sitting there painting I decided I wanted boba. "Its 9:30pm," said Cierra. "Boba cafe in Riverside is open till 2am," I replied back. Well at least it was open till 2am, 4.5 years ago when I lived in Riverside and before the recession closed down half the joints I used to frequent. "Im down if you pay for my gas," and we were off. I was very excited to visit the city of my college years and excited by our night adventure since I have been watching a lot of these stoner movies where stoners go on adventures to seek out something i.e. Harold and Kumar. This movie was called Sophia Sierra and Cierra (earlier in the day we had been called 'cierra and sierra' by my brother-in-law as we took a nap together after dinner in a twin bed listening to chill lounge music).

We got to Boba Cafe in under 30 minutes, it was still there and I ordered my drank. The people looked the same as they did when I lived there, and the furniture the same as well. I then made Cierra drive me around the campus while I told her stories of my wild youth before I settled down and became the decent baby mama I am today. Just kidding, kinda, not really.

Thai iced tea para mi.
Cierra no like the boba but she likes me, thats all that matters.
No one ever sits here. Ever.

Im surprised this hoodie survived the washing machine. iron on transfers=drama.
Our workshop, the artist at work.

Our first night of painting we were supposed to paint those dominoes but we got crzy and were painting those boards. It was the first time I painted ne thing in my life and I still didnt paint, I just wrote words in colors. We were listening to hip-hop, hence the "tr*ck *ss b*tch" and then the music calmed and I turned to hearts. The dominoes had to be painted cause the white paint was scratching off and I cant be selling that to people.

Sorry I didnt color my eyebrows in.

All I need is one sweater

It is the 9th day of Xmas and maybe some of you have already lost your wits and self-control. By this time you have gift giving anxiety induced insomnia and are binging on your advent calendar chocolate aren't you? 'Oops, looks like I popped open tomorrow's window too, guess I gotta eat it now.' I cant even handle a weekend of planning a craft fair and going to see the Nutcracker. My hair is getting grayer by the minute as you can see in the following photos.

So on the 9th day of Xmas, my sweater gave to me: 3 flowered headbands, 1 pair of legwarmers, 1 emo bow, and some left over beaded flowers and leaves.

I bought this sweater at the thrift store envisioning great headbands. I was really surprised with all I was able to make and even cut the arms off and made leg warmers with them. I hand sewed the flowers to strips of the sweater and added elastic to the leg warmers (which is too tight on one leg but Ill have to adjust that later). I was just experimenting anyways. It was hard to photograph the headbands, and my hair was a hot mess in need of some major paintage but I had to get this freakin blog done. "Oh come let us adore me," my dad said as my mom and I set up the shoot. He thinks Im on drugs. He confronted my mom telling her I have been acting strange lately and she told him I had just started my period and things should smooth out soon.

I have been acting strangely. I feel like my days are filled with highs and lows. There is some magnetic imbalance between my North and South poles. I came into some money today but was sad to see how expensive flights are to Mexico City for when I want to go. I was happy with all the John Lennon coverage on TV for the anniversary of his death, but I was annoyed with hearing Celine Dion sing "Imagine" on Larry King Live. I told my mom, "If I hear one more person say that 'Imagine' is their fave John Lennon song, Im going to run a naked lap around this gated community." I then turned off the t.v.

Imagine there's no Celine Dion...That's my fave song.

Sweater before pic. I found those dolls under my bed. Anyone remember what cartoon they were from? Please comment or email me!

Headbands up close and bow.

dos flores- translation 2 flowers. ooohhh.

It's not nalga, it's thigh! Check out my sweet shoes. 2 dollars or less, me no remember.

They were sweater sleeves hehe. Im so tricky.

I really should be banned from the Salvation Army. Look what I bought. OMG. An airplane! Rosie said, "You look like Marianne." Marianne is one of my b.f.f.s Ill introduce you to her some blog (day).

Rosie brought out the props and told me to sip it. I chugged it cause I was thirsy. oops. Thicker band with flower and leaves.

The sweater after

Happy Thursday yall. Hope I can survive my anxiety through the weekend. Big besos desde California.

Santa Bebe

They say the best things in life are free: love, sunsets, open bar, kisses, pirated music, blogger, cinnamon, talent, the bible,, ect. So what is one to put on their Xmas list? I could only think of a few things I want this Xmas.

1. A flight to D.F., Mexico to see a homegirl close to my corazon
2. B.E.T.
3. muShrooms
4. For Salvation Army to offer gift cards so I could wish for one.
5. Sewing lessons
6. For more people to "follow" my blog so I look like I have more virtual friends.
7. A haute bebe daddy

Im glad that my parents didn't fill my head with Santa Claus b.s. for too long. I think I was 6 when my mom told me, "Daddy and I went to college and work hard. That's how we buy you presents." Yeah! Viva La Raza!

This year I'm pretty much making everyone presents. Im also growing my own tinsel since I haven't had my gray touched up since September.  Here is my latest creation: peppermint earrings and a peppermint bow.

Made with real candy. Very sticky. Didn't glaze them or anything, who has time for that?

Sweater: Brass Plum, thrifted- 2 dollas
Leg Warmers- Capezio store, not Capezio brand 15 dollas

I forgot to mention one thing, a ring. Caitlin bought me this fetch Gaga ring for Xmas last year but it is too big so I can only fodel it in pics.

Oh did I forget to mention the veil? Oh geez. Bought this bad boy for $3.50 at a thrift store the other day. Loved it so much I wore it to dinner with friends and tried to pretend it was my bachelorette party to pimp the waitress for a free dessert. My efforts did not avail (get it? wah wah). I couldn't lie. But some passerby told me congrats and that I looked cute. Caitlin said, "thats the ugliest veil I've ever seen."

To my friend in Denmark that is looking at this blog, Jeg elsker dig! Lykkelig Ferie. Oh my, I've just made a discovery I think Lykke Li means happiness. Another Xmas miracle!

Happy Holidays everyone! Feliz Navidad or whatever holiday you are celebrating.
